Pro Bono Econos for Economists

Would you like to volunteer in a rewarding way that takes into account your unique, hard-earned skill set?

Perhaps you are a socially-minded young professional with some extra time on the side.

Perhaps you are recently retired and looking for a way to give back and keep yourself active.

Perhaps you are mid-career, feeling like a cog in the corporate wheel, and looking to inject some new purpose into your work life to make it more enjoyable.

People in each of these situations have previously volunteered with Pro Bono Econos, and have made a sizable impact on the health of charities local to their region.

We understand that most of our volunteers lead busy lives, and we want volunteering to be an enjoyable experience, not a burden. For this reason, we chat with our volunteers to understand the time they feel they are able to give, whether 4 hours a week or 14 hours a week, and whether a single chunk of time on the weekend or a couple of hours over a few days each week. We do our best to accommodate your needs.

Flexibility is one of our core values, and we are proud of it in our culture. We want to make it work for you, and still get great things done together for the community.

Our volunteers generally work remotely in small teams from anywhere in the world and largely communicate via our business enterprise system coupled with an easy-to-use company intranet and state-of-the-art virtual teamwork environment. This ensures your time is not wasted and eliminates the need for reliance on lengthy email threads that tend to get lost.

A typical team consists of 4 to 5 volunteers and an experienced team leader who facilitates the volunteers in seeing the project to completion.

Every project is unique, with some requiring more in-person or on-site meetings than others which can be completed remotely, so we will try to match you up with a project which suits your needs and interests.

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us, introduce yourself and tell us a little about yourself in a few sentences. We will get back to you afterwards and work a time to set up an interview time over a video call.
